Enrichment Pupil Success – Young Enterprise Programme

We are very proud of our Year 13 pupils and their company MadeToHold, who have excelled throughout this year’s Young Enterprise Company Programme

A number of pupils achieved the prestigious Ulster University Business School certification, recognising their outstanding effort in completing the University of Ulster assessment an excellent achievement and a valuable addition to their CVs.

All 11 pupils embraced the enrichment experience, developing valuable academic, social and employability skills.

They have been outstanding ambassadors for the programme and are already encouraging next year’s Year 13 pupils to get involved!

Throughout the year, MadeToHold showcased their entrepreneurial skills at a range of events, including:

  • St George’s Market (December)
  • The Big Market Trade Fair at Rushmere Shopping Centre (February)
  • A special invitation to sell their products at the Bank of Ireland, Newry branch

The pupils successfully designed and sold a range of Christmas and floral decorations, demonstrating creativity, teamwork, and real business acumen.

Pupils who took part  received a Young Enterprise NI Company Programme & a University of Ulster endorsed certificate, recognising their hard work throughout the year.

A special thank you to Chris Donaldson (NFU Mutual), our Young Enterprise Business Volunteer, whose guidance, encouragement, and support, including helping secure start-up funding played a key role in the success of MadeToHold this year.

An exceptional journey and a fantastic achievement for all our pupils – the future is bright!
