The Debate Team was established this year in St. Paul’s and consists of students from both Year 13 and Year 14. The debate programme attracts students from a number of disciplines in the school – Science, Maths, History and Modern Languages and has been an extremely successful extra-curricular activity for our students.
We were especially delighted to win the award of ‘Best Researchers’ in the Concern Debates which included over 140 schools from across Ireland. This award recognised the hard work and diligence of the students in preparing their arguments for each debate and it was a wonderful achievement in this our first year taking part in the competition.
