Pupils from 12/73 recently travelled to Tandragee to visit the famous Tayto Castle. The pupils visited the factory as part of their Learning for Life & Work course with regard to health and safety.
They were given a comprehensive tour of the factory by one of the tour guides and learned a great deal from their experience.
The pupils were able to see the potatoes being placed in a large warehouse, being cleaned, peeled, sliced, flavoured and then placed in an oven to be cooked for three minutes.
Everyone enjoyed their visit and learned a great deal.
Of course everyone was able to take a “goodie bag” with them when they were leaving.
