St Patrick’s Cathedral, Armagh was the auspicious location for this year’s Spring Concert.  The event, which is always a highlight in the school calendar, showcased the incredible musical and choral talent at St Paul’s High School.

Director of Music at St Paul’s, Mr Colm Murphy, introduced a packed programme of recitals, ensemble performances, and choral pieces.  A packed cathedral was entertained by the school orchestra, traditional group, brass and ethnic percussion ensembles, and various solo pieces from students.

The finale of the concert was a performance of five movements from ‘The Armed Man – A Mass of Peace’ by Karl Jenkins.

You can see a selection of photos from this year’s Spring Concert below, and a short highlights video.  Indiviudal videos from each performance will be posted on the Music Department’s webpage.

What a wonderful evening of musical and choral entertainment. We enjoyed every moment of it and it was fitting that the cathedral was packed to witness such a terrific expression of talent. Well done to each and everyone one of you on a night to be remembered. It brought back fond memories of Rome and the choir performing in St Peter’s basilica.

An amazing night of music! Three days later and we are still talking about it. If it had been possible we would’ve bought tickets for another night. The performance was so sharp and professional. Well done to all involved.
