St Paul’s Pupils entertain the local community

St Paul’s High School pupils, under the guidance of Mr Colm Murphy provided a wonderful night’s entertainment for Cloughreagh Residential House, staging their own production of ‘X Factor’ for the assembled residents.

Pupils Maeve Morgan, Maille Connolly and Cliodhna McAteer entertained with song, the very talented Murphy family entertained with traditional music and Cliodhna Mc Ateer played a beautiful Irish piece on her cello.

Natasha Crummy and Danielle Gilmore hip hopped to the beat; not once but twice, while Anna McCann, Áine Malone, Ruairí McCann, Aoibhinn McGuinness. Leanne McGuinness and Ciara Savage provided an exceptionally full programme of Irish dancing.

Mr Colm Murphy, Head of Music in St Paul’s acted as Master of Ceremonies.

A panel of judges voted while the audience enjoyed the acts, and past pupils Amy and Lisa Mulholland and Clare McGuinness kept the score and the raffle going!

The winning act was The Irish Dancers; a very hard decision to reach, in light of the outstanding talent on display!  They received a first prize of £30.

The event was co-ordinated by Mrs Patricia Mulholland,  Senior Care Assistant in Cloughreagh House.  The night was a huge success and the pupils St Paul’s look forward to their next visit to Cloughreagh House.
