Pictured above is Seamus McCabe of PIPS giving a talk to Year 14 students at St Paul’s.
On Tuesday 6th November all Year 14 pupils along with their teachers attended a special presentation by Seamus McCabe of PIPS, Newry. The presentation was called ‘B+ Positive’.
Seamus spoke to the students about the stigma attached to mental health issues and the importance of talking to one another without judgement. He also went through 12 steps to self care. This was then followed by a question and answer session which was extremely beneficial.
This is the first session of 3 which Year 14 will attend with the aim of providing coping strategies for what may be a stressful time in their lives.
