The Rainbow Project recently delivered an extensive ‘Introduction to Sexual Orientation in Schools’ workshop to Year 13 students in St Paul’s High School.
The purpose of the workshop was to provide students with facts surrounding sexuality and to promote equality and inclusivity for all individuals, irrespective of sexual orientation.
Through various activities, students were introduced to common stereotypes surrounding gay or straight people and invited to challenge these misconceptions.
The students were also encouraged to explore the impact of homophobia and how it can impact on a person’s mental health.
