Rotary Youth Leadership recently selected Year 13 student, Shauna Pentony, as winner of the Newry & Mourne heat of their annual competition. She competed against young leaders in all other schools in the area, discussing the importance of leadership.
This gained Shauna £100 prize for herself and an additional £100 for her school. From this win, Shauna went on to compete in the Regional Finals against students from all over Ireland.
Again, Shauna was selected as overall winner and will travel to Strasbourg in February with twenty seven other young leaders from across Europe.
St Paul’s is very proud of Shauna’s achievements and she is an excellent ambassador for the school.
Thanks to Mr Donal McAlinden for organising this annual competition and providing students with this invaluable opportunity.
