Congratulations to Eoin and Cathal Murphy (pictured first and second from the left) who are an integral part of the band ‘Cúig’ which won the Trócaire Battle of the Bands competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in Derry last weekend.

The band was awarded with a unique opportunity to take part in a bespoke 3 day recording session in Dublin based studios. By virtue of their success they will also have a support slot at Temple Bar’s Trad Fest in January 2014.

This is another fantastic achievement for the St. Paul’s pupils at the traditional Music annual flagship event. Eoin and Cathal’s achievements are recognised especially by the Music Department in the St. Paul’s who are very proud of the progress they have made through the years.
