In one of his last acts as Principal of St Paul’s, Mr Mooney visited the Learning Support Centre to hear the choir sing the beautiful hymns they sang at the special Mass of Thanksgiving last week.
During the visit Maeve Robb presented Mr Mooney with a gift on behalf of the Learning Support Centre staff and pupils.
Head of Learning Support Centre, Mr Paddy Mc Avoy highlighted the great interest that Mr Mooney has in the pupils in the LSC and detailed how so many career paths have been opened up to the students through the development of the curriculum to meet their personalised needs.
Chair of Governors, Mr John Campbell, spoke of Mr Mooney’s great affection for the LSC, and of the interest he takes in each individual pupil’s achievements. Mr Mooney wished Mr McAvoy, the staff of the LSC and all the students every good wish in the future and said he looked forward to hearing of their continued successes in the years to come.
