Winners of Gael-Linn Abair public speaking competition at St Paul’s High School, Niall Campbell (Year 10) and Anita Dennison (Year 13) congratulated by their teacher, Mr Stephen Mooney on their recent success.
Taking part in the Gael-Linn Abair Irish language public speaking competition for the first time, two students from St Paul’s High School have been awarded first place in their respective competitions.
At the competition for local post-primary schools, hosted by Gaeláras Mhic Ardgháil, Year 10 student Niall Campbell, and Year 13 student Anita Dennison, excelled in their individual competitions impressing the judges with their speeches on computer gaming and the endemic problem of cyber bullying.
Teacher of Irish at St Paul’s, Mr Stephen Mooney, who helped the students prepare for the competition congratulated them on their hard work and endeavour and said that the students were looking forward eagerly to the next round of the competition.
