The Institute of Engineering and Technology hosted a Faraday challenge day at St Paul’s on Wednesday 26th November.
The IET is one of the world’s leading professional societies for the engineering and technology community. The initiative is to encourage the pupils to study the STEM subjects and to consider careers within the engineering and technology sectors.
During the challenge day the pupils researched, designed and made solutions to genuinely tough engineering problems. All pupils received a certificate for participating and the winning team received amazon vouchers each as a prize and a trophy for their team.
The top three teams will get an all expenses paid trip to the national final in June. The day was thoroughly enjoyed by all and proved popular with teachers and students alike.
The winning class and students that won awards and certificates were presented them at a morning assembly.
