A Year 8 student in St. Paul’s High School, Bessbrook has managed to collect 129 Easter Eggs for local homeless charity, Newry Helping the Homeless.  Student, Daniel Halpenny, came up with the “Give Up an Egg” campaign which he launched in school at the beginning of Lent.  Speaking at year group assemblies Daniel encouraged students and staff to donate an egg, big or small, to help make Easter “eggcellent” for those in our community who may otherwise not have had an egg this Easter.
