Year 12 and 13 students recently participated in an essay writing competition organised by University of Ulster.  The students were invited to discuss an area of ethical interest in science.

We are delighted to announce that a number of the students received a certificate in recognition of their essay writing and also have been invited to attend a debating evening in the University of Ulster.

Miss Marion McNamee is pictured above with Niamh Cluett.  Niamh was the only Year 12 student who received a certificate.  She was awarded high marks for her essay which posed the question whether drugs should be used in professional sport.

Home Economics teachers, Miss Grace O’Neill and Mrs Lisa McConville are pictured above with Year 13 students who also received certificates in recognition of high marks achieved in the essay competition.
