In conjunction with the Department of the Environment, hit radio station Cool FM visited St Paul’s as an extension of the Year 8 pastoral programme. Students in classes 08/71 and 08/48 were invited to participate in the Road Safety Workshop and discuss ‘distractions’ on the road. 

They worked together in groups discussing possible distractions, suggesting advice and presenting their ideas to the Cool FM presenters.

The students recorded a sample commercial for the Department of the Environment. Twelve students will now be selected to visit Cool FM Studios in Belfast, where they will record a thirty second commercial on Road Safety.
