Celebrating the Outstanding Achievements of St Paul’s Top A2 Level Pupils

We are delighted to celebrate the exceptional achievements of our A2 Level pupils, who have excelled in their individual courses, demonstrating not only their academic talents but also their dedication and hard work. These remarkable young people have made us all incredibly proud, and we are excited to share their success stories.

Our top achievers have not only shone brightly at St Paul’s but also honour the foundations laid during their primary school years. We are grateful for the nurturing and support they received at these schools, which played a significant role in shaping their academic journeys.

Ines Martins, a past pupil of St Monnina’s PS, Cloughoge, achieved an outstanding A*AAA in Digital Technology, Mathematics, Physics, and Art & Design. Ines has been accepted to Queen’s University Belfast (QUB) to study Software Engineering.

JP McArdle, a past pupil of Jonesborough PS, achieved a superb AAAA in English Literature, Geography, History, and Religious Studies. JP will be continuing his academic journey at the University of Edinburgh, where he will study Social Anthropology.

Leah Rodgers, a past pupil of St Mary’s PS, Barr, earned an impressive A*AA in Health & Social Care, Biology, and Religious Studies. Leah has secured a place at Ulster University, where she will study Diagnostic Radiography and Imaging.

Natasha Finnegan, a past pupil of St Malachy’s PS, Camlough, achieved A*AA in History, English Literature, and Government & Politics. Natasha will be attending QUB to study English and History.

Sophie Hollywood, a past pupil of St Peter’s PS, Cloughreagh, achieved A*AA in Art & Design, Mathematics, and Physics. Sophie has been accepted to QUB to study Applied Mathematics and Physics.

Eoin McEneaney, a past pupil of St Joseph’s PS, Bessbrook, earned an A* Distinction* A in History, Cambridge Business, and Government & Politics. Eoin will pursue his studies at QUB, where he has been accepted to study Law.

Ryan Browne, a past pupil of Dromintee PS, achieved AAA in Geography, Digital Technology, and Mathematics. Ryan has been accepted to QUB to study Computer Science.

Grace McCann, a past pupil of St Malachy’s PS, Camlough, earned AAA in Mathematics, Digital Technology, and History. Grace will be studying Financial Risk Management at QUB.

Cliona Quinn, a past pupil of St Brigid’s PS, Drumilly, achieved AAA in Biology, Health & Social Care, and Religious Studies. Cliona has been accepted by Ulster University to study Occupational Therapy.

Aimee Travers, a past pupil of St Brigid’s PS, Drumilly, earned AAA in Biology, Irish, and Mathematics. Aimee has been accepted to QUB to study Financial Risk Management.

Caoimhe Treanor, a past pupil of St Oliver Plunkett’s PS, Forkhill, achieved AAA in English Literature, History, and Mathematics. Caoimhe will be studying Accounting and Law at Ulster University.

Cara Whelan, a past pupil of St Monnina’s PS, Cloughoge, earned AAA in Biology, Health & Social Care, and Sociology. Cara has been accepted to Ulster University to study Physiotherapy.

Caitlin Byrne, a past pupil of St Malachy’s PS, Camlough, achieved AAA in Mathematics, Health & Social Care, and Irish. Caitlin has secured a place at St Mary’s University College, Belfast, to study Post Primary Education with Mathematics.

Aisling Carr, a past pupil of St Peter’s PS, Cloughreagh, earned AAA in Irish, Mathematics, and Biology. Aisling has been accepted to St Mary’s University College, Belfast, where she will study Primary Education with Irish.

Louise Boyle, a past pupil of St Michael’s PS, Killean, achieved AA Distinction in Health & Social Care, Religious Studies, and BTEC CPLD. Louise will also be joining St Mary’s University College, Belfast, to study Post Primary Education with Religious Studies.

We could not be prouder of these pupils for their incredible achievements and their bright futures ahead. Their hard work and determination have truly paid off, and we wish them all the best as they embark on the next stage of their academic journeys.

Acting Principal of St Paul’s, Mr Dáithí Murray, commended the pupils’ achievements and said ‘I am absolutely delighted with the outstanding achievements of our pupils at A2 Level this year. Their commitment to their studies and their perseverance, especially through challenging times, has been truly remarkable. I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to each of them on their success and wish them all the best as they take the next step in their academic journeys. I would also like to thank their parents and families for the unwavering support they have provided, as well as our dedicated teachers, whose guidance and encouragement have been instrumental in these achievements.’

Vice-Principal with responsibility for Standards and Improvement, Ms Christine Fearon, congratulated the pupils on their outcomes and added ‘I am incredibly proud of the academic excellence displayed by our A2 Level pupils. Their results reflect not only their hard work and resilience but also the strong partnership between home and school. It has been a pleasure to witness their growth and success, and I am confident that they will continue to excel in their chosen fields of study. I want to express my deep gratitude to the parents, families, and our teaching staff for their continuous support and commitment to our pupils’ education’

Mr Murray concluded by adding ‘I would like to express my gratitude to the primary schools that played such an important role in the early education of these pupils. Your contribution has been invaluable and is reflected in the outstanding results we celebrate today’.

St Paul’s High School, a vibrant all-ability, non-selective, Catholic educational community, is home to over 1,700 pupils.
