Celebrating Shakespeare Drawing Competition

On 23 April, St Paul’s celebrated the 400th Anniversary of Shakespeare’s Death with a Library Art Competition for Year 8 and Year 9 students.

The theme was to draw any character from any Shakespeare play. Over 300 students entered the competition and the top spots were won by Year 8 student Lauryn McKeown and Year 9 student Alex Hughes for their drawings of Romeo and Juliet, and 09/LS2 student Courtney Carroll for her drawing of Lady Macbeth.

Head of Art, Mrs Siobhan O’Hare picked the winners and awarded extra prizes due to the high standard of the competition. The Art work is on display outside the library.
