Celebrating Success in the Anthea Bell Prize for Young Translators

We are delighted to share some fantastic news from our French Department.

Erin Lynch (Class 1482) recently took part in the prestigious Anthea Bell Prize for Young Translators, a national competition organised by Oxford University. This competition celebrates linguistic talent and creativity, and Erin’s hard work and passion for languages truly shone through.

At the end of last year, Erin entered the French to English translation category and achieved a commendation, which is a remarkable accomplishment in such a highly regarded competition.

This morning, we proudly recognised Erin’s achievement during assembly, where she was presented with her certificate. Erin was joined for a celebratory photograph by Ms Christelle Bernard (Teacher of French), Mrs Sinéad Pélissou (Head of French) and Mr Dáithí Murray (Principal).

We are incredibly proud of Erin for her dedication and success. Achievements like this highlight the importance of language learning and the opportunities it can bring.

Congratulations, Erin, you are an inspiration to us all.
