St Paul’s U16 Ladies suffered All-Ireland Final heartache, as they got beaten by two points in extra time in the U16 A Junior All-Ireland Final.
Four buses pulled out of St Paul’s to head for Glenamaddy, County Galway, to support the ladies but unfortunately everything seemed to go against them as they lost out on their chance to win an All-Ireland medal.
An exciting first half left St Paul’s trailing by two points at half time and when the final whistle blew, the sides were still level.
After our ladies travelling four hours on a bus to Galway, they were forced to play extra time.
Extra time was always going to be tough but the girls gave everything they had.
Congratulations to the team and management on winning the U16 A Ulster and getting to the All-Ireland Final.

You were all nothing short of magnificent. What a courageous bunch you are and what resilience you displayed throughout the campaign. I couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of you. You are an inspiration to all the pupils and staff in St Paul’s. Thank you and well done!
