St Paul’s officially launched a new cross community Primary School sports project known as Best Ball.
The programme is a cross community sports initiative aimed around the concept of team-work, mutual respect and cultural appreciation. Through the initiative Primary seven pupils from Cloughreagh and Bessbrook Primary schools are being coached a modified form of Olympic Handball.
The pupils from both schools will meet twice before the end of June to have a mini festival where they will get to show off the skills they have learned over the course of the programme. Included in the picture are pupils from both primary schools, their coaches Michael Murphy, David McCabe and Mr Barry Shannon (St Paul’s Outreach Co-ordinator).

I know that I speak for everyone when I say that this is a great initiative, children and adults alike enjoying themselves and getting to know each other.
