Our senior team marked their debut in the Danske Bank MacRory cup with a win against the current holders and Hogan Cup finalists, St Michael’s Enniskillen.
Played in wet conditions in Clogher, it was never going to be easy against the holders, but St Paul’s adapted to the game very early with Gregory McCabe crashing home a goal inside the first 30 seconds.
Enniskillen responded from this with a goal and a point of their own, but the power, accuracy and variety of scorers had St Paul’s take control of the game and go on to record an impressive 3-14 to 1-3 victory.
Now that our players have had their first taste of MacRory football, they will want to build on this performance.
The next match is on Saturday 20th October against local rivals St Colman’s. The game is scheduled for a noon throw in at Saval.

As a former teacher at the school (one of the original staff, left in 1968) I was delighted to see the magnificent result achieved in the school’s debut in the McCrory cup.
Hope to attend as many of the games as possible. Unfortunately unable to be at the inaugural derby game against St Colman’s.
All the best.
