Under-16 Frank Maguire Cup 2014

St Paul’s High School met Coláiste Feirste of Belfast in the final of the under-16 Frank Maguire Cup which was staged at St Gall’s GAC, Belfast.

St Paul’s got off to a good start with a well-taken goal from Jarly Óg Burns to put the Bessbrook side three points up.

From then on both sides exchanged scores with some brilliant defensive play from the St Paul’s back line.

A close but exciting first half left the St Paul’s side three points behind.

Half Time: Ardscoil Naomh Pól 2-03 (9) Coláiste Feirste 2-05 (12) 

The second half started much the same as the first with both sides exchanging scores in a tight game.

However Coláiste Feirste surged on late in the game and went on to win the match by eight points.
