St Paul’s Under-18 Boys’ Football team were in action twice over their half-term break. On Tuesday they played St Mary’s Magherafelt in Galbally and saw a four point lead evaporate in the last four minutes of the game that ended up a draw 1-11 a piece.
Saturday’s game against St Patrick’s Academy Dungannon was played in the magnificent setting of the Tyrone GAA Centre of Excellence at Garvaghey. St Paul’s clung on to their slender lead late in the game to gain two vital points.
These points are an important stepping stone towards staying in the competition after Christmas and two more league points from their remaining games should guarantee a play-off place in the knock out stages in the new year
