Ulster School Bro Mallon Cup Champions

Pictured are members of our St Paul’s Bro Mallon Cup Hurling winning team who recently received their medals from Tipperary’s All Ireland Senior Hurling Team manager Liam Cahill at the Craobh Rua Awards night.

The boys captured the Bro Mallon Cup earlier in 2025 and were delighted to receive their Ulster Medals on the night. Liam spoke to all in attendance about his All-Ireland winning Tipperary team and how the pathway his players followed to be at their best began with exposure to opportunities provided through club, school and county. He remarked on the efforts involved to support young hurlers on their journey and thanked all the coaches involved with hurling in the area. He reminded the boys to continue take on the chances they are getting from having a strong hurling group and the school support to help their youth development.

In recent weeks, the team stepped foot into the second tier of Ulster Schools Hurling where they proved to be very competitive in the Leopold Cup and losing out to finalist St Malachy’s College, Belfast. 5 pupils the panel have also made in onto this year’s Armagh U17 Celtic Challenge team and we wish them adh mór in this year’s campaign.
