Record-Breaking A Level Results at St Paul’s

St Paul’s High School is celebrating an historic day as pupils receive their GCE A2, GCE AS and other Level 3 qualifications.

For the first time in the school’s history, more than 84% of pupils have achieved at least three A*-C grades, with 78% of boys achieving the key benchmark figure and a stellar 88% of girls likewise.

Among the many personal triumphs, fifteen pupils have been awarded three A*/A grades, and one pupil, Erin McCullough, has achieved an exceptional four A* grades in GCE A Level Biology, Chemistry, History and Mathematics, a remarkable individual performance.

Principal, Mr Dáithí Murray, said that the results reflected the strong commitment shown by the Class of 2025 to their studies and to making the very most of the opportunities available to them.

”This is a day of pride for our pupils, their families and the entire St Paul’s community. These results are the product of sustained effort, focus and ambition. They also reflect the tireless dedication of our teaching and support staff, and the unwavering encouragement of parents and carers. What we see here is the outcome of a school community that works together, guided by truth, integrity, compassion and kindness in all that we do.”

The majority of pupils will now move on to their first-choice university courses, higher-level apprenticeships or exciting new careers. Many will also be taking time today to reflect on the friendships made, the experiences shared and the personal growth achieved during their time at St Paul’s.

Mr Murray also acknowledged the important role played by the school’s staff in ensuring that every pupil is supported to reach their potential.

”Our aim is always to inspire pupils to be the very best version of themselves, in their learning, in their character and in the way they contribute to society. The Class of 2025 has embraced that challenge with energy and purpose.”

The school community will come together to formally recognise and celebrate the achievements of this exceptional year group at the Annual Senior Prizegiving Ceremony on Thursday 11 September 2025.
