Monday 14th October 2019 brought with it the start of our annual celebrations for Ireland’s Maths Week. Year 10 pupils kick started the week with a very interactive ‘Trading Game’ ran by Liverpool based company AS Creatives. Each day brought with it a selection of highly competitive Teacher Puzzles, organised by Miss L McIntyre and Pupil Puzzles, organised by Miss C Conlon. Mrs Á Mallie also co-ordinated puzzles with the local primary schools which were also very successful.
Our winners from the Staff & Student daily puzzles.
Year 8 pupils were also treated to a treasure hunt, organised by Mrs E Knipe, titled ‘Maths about St. Paul’s’ which ran throughout the school. The week long celebrations concluded with a fantastic fun Year 9 puzzle day ran by Belfast based company, U-Formation.
We would like to thank everyone involved in making Maths Week 2019 such a success particularly other departments running Maths themed lessons and to Head of Maths, Mrs Á Mallie, for co-ordinating the celebrations.
