Key Stage 3 success celebrated at Junior Prizegiving

As is tradition, our annual Junior Prizegiving took place as part of our Year 11 Induction on Thursday 29 August.

The achievements of this cohort were recognised by their Form Teachers, Year Head and subject teachers. It marks a fitting end to their Key Stage 3 years and the commencement of their Key Stage 4.

Towards the end of the ceremony, led by Mr Martin Rafferty, Year Head, major awards were presented. Across the whole year group, three pupils were awarded the Pupil of the Year Endeavour Awards. Congratulations to Sarah Murphy, Rihanna McEntee Martin and Conor Cartmill.

The much coveted Pupil of the Year for Academic Achievement, among a very ambitious year group, were Stephen Phelan and Tatiana Grabowska.

Our final two major awards were the Spirit of St Paul’s Award and the Contribution to School Life Awards. Callum Farrell and Kate Hughes were delighted to be the joint recipients of the ‘spirit award’ and are two pupils who are determined and display incredible qualities at all times. They are very valued members of our school community.

The final award, the Pupil of the Year for Contribution to School Life Award, was jointly presented to Danielle McParland and Erin McGale. Both girls are not only highly involved in the extra curricular life of the school but in every aspect of school life. They’re perfect examples of pupils who balance learning and giving.

The ceremony was enhanced by the presence of two of last year’s Head Girls, Méabh Greene and Grace Meagher, who shared super words of wisdom and encouragement to our new Year 11 pupils.
