Captains Address

Hello, my name is Francine Kennon from St.Pauls High School. It is an honour to be the captain of the under 14 girl’s football team.

All the girls have worked very hard; everyone was turning up at training and always being focused on our goal. This was really easy because we are all good friends in school and share some lessons together. We have been dedicated all year and we are all so glad that we’ve made it to the Ulster Final. Our message to the girls today for the Ulster final is to remember what Mr. Rafferty told us… “We’re as good as everyone and better than most”.

Thank-you to all our Gaelic football mentors in school and in our clubs who have put in the time; taking training and going to games with us, we really appreciate all those wet and muddy training sessions. A special thank-you to all our family, friends and supporters who have supported us on our journey to the final, hopefully we will see some of you there.

We would also like to wish St. Fanchea’s all the best in our Ulster Final together, may the best team win.
