Captains Address
Hello, Aimee and Louise here from St.Pauls. It is an honour to be captains of the under 14 girl’s football team. This is the fourth time this year some of us have experienced an Ulster final, but that does not mean that we are feeling like we’ve won it. We are all just as excited as the first time.
All the girls have worked very hard; everyone was turning up at training and always being focused on our goal. This was really easy because we are all good friends in school and share some lessons together. Our message to the girls today for the Ulster final is to remember what Mr. Rafferty told us…. “We’re as good as everyone and better than most”.
Thank-you to all our Gaelic football mentors in school and in our clubs who have put in the time; taking training and going to games with us, we really appreciate all those wet and muddy training sessions. Finally a special thank-you to all our family and friends who have supported us on our journey to the final, hopefully see some of you there.
