As we mark International Women’s Day, our Year 14 pupils took a well-earned extended break on Friday 7 March, enjoying delicious treats courtesy of our fantastic canteen staff. But the real highlight of the day was an inspiring session led by eight incredible women from our own school community.

Our Student Leaders invited these women to share their experiences, insights, and advice, giving pupils a deeper appreciation of the many roles that keep St Paul’s running smoothly. From finance to student support, from the classroom to the canteen, each of these women plays a vital part in shaping our school.
Our Inspirational Speakers
We were honoured to hear from:
• Michelle Murphy – Bursar
• Sinéad Britton – Office Manager
• Ann McElroy – Classroom Assistant
• Muiread MacMahon – Art Technician
• Emma McMullan – Housekeeper/Technician
• Áine Kearney – Acting Head of Maths
• Bridie Wroe – Counsellor
• Rita McClory – School Meals Manager
Each speaker offered valuable advice, reflecting on their own careers and the importance of resilience, teamwork, and determination. Their words reminded us that success comes in many forms and that every role in our school contributes to the success and well-being of our pupils.
A huge thank you to all the staff who took the time to share their stories today – and to everyone at St Paul’s who works tirelessly to support our school community.
Happy International Women’s Day to all!
