On Friday 4 April, St Paul’s High School was honoured to welcome the Relic of Blessed Carlo Acutis as part of a special Faith Day, organised by the school’s Chaplaincy Team, led by Father Séamus White and Mrs Deirdre Graham.

At the invitation of the Archbishop of Armagh, Éamon Martin, the Blessed Carlo Acutis Team from Dublin, accompanied by the Knights of St Columbanus, visited the school for a day of prayer, reflection, and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. St Paul’s was proud to be one of the seven schools selected to take part in this initiative, in recognition of the forthcoming canonisation of Blessed Carlo, which will take place in Rome on 27 April 2025.
Pupils in Years 12, 13 and 14 each gathered in the Assembly Hall for a period of prayerful focus. During these sessions, pupils learned about the inspirational life of Blessed Carlo — a teenager whose deep devotion to the Eucharist and use of digital media to share his faith have made him a powerful role model for young Catholics across the world.
The atmosphere was one of reverence and peace, with the Blessed Sacrament exposed and time given for quiet prayer and reflection. Pupils were invited to pray for strength and guidance as they prepare for the challenges of public examinations. The school choir, under the direction of Vice-Principal Mr Colm Murphy, added a beautiful and prayerful dimension to the liturgy, enhancing the sense of sacredness throughout the event.

We are deeply grateful to the Blessed Carlo Acutis Youth Team and the Knights of St Columbanus for their visit and for helping our school community take part in such a meaningful and memorable day.
