In the lead‑up to World Book Day, we were delighted to welcome English author Joffre White to Bessbrook. ✨

Joffre delivered three inspiring creative writing workshops to our KS3 pupils, followed by a brilliant Q&A session with class 0885 in the library. He also treated the group to a reading from his book Aura Boy.

He praised our pupils for their enthusiasm, focus, and creativity throughout the day — and we couldn’t be prouder of the fantastic work produced! 👏

A special moment came when Lorcan Greene (0885) presented Joffre with a copy of Armagh Folktales by Frances Quinn, along with a new writing journal.
