St Paul’s Ethnic Percussion Groups to Perform at NYC Saint Patrick’s Day Parade 2025

We were thrilled to welcome Mr Hilary Beirne, founder of the New York City Saint Patrick’s Day Foundation, to St Paul’s High School. During his visit, Mr Beirne extended an extraordinary invitation to our very own St Paul’s Ethnic Percussion Groups, inviting them to perform in the 2025 Saint Patrick’s Day Parade in New York City.

Our pupils are buzzing with excitement at the prospect of marching in one of the world’s most iconic parades. This incredible opportunity promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for everyone involved, and preparations are already underway to ensure our band is ready to shine on this international stage.

During his visit, Mr Beirne also shared the poignant history of the 69th Regiment’s participation in the parade. This revered regiment represents the deep-rooted bond between Irish heritage and military service. As they march in the parade, they carry with them the indomitable spirit of Irish emigrants—a spirit of valour, unity, and patriotism that has been a part of the parade’s history for decades.

This invitation is a tremendous honour, and we are incredibly grateful to Mr Beirne for offering our pupils this remarkable opportunity to be part of such a celebrated event.
