As part of its annual fundraising efforts for the St Paul’s International Projects to Romania, Kenya and Lourdes, the students and staff of St Paul’s High School are well used to donning ridiculous costumes and making fools of themselves on the stage all in aid of a very good cause.
And 2013 was no exception, with the school hosting an extravaganza of dance and music with the inaugural St Paul’s ‘Strictly Come Jigging’, held in the glamourous Lacey’s nightclub of the Carrickdale Hotel.
Over 500 people bought tickets for the event and packed the nightclub as they showed their support for the various dancers on the stage.
Hosted by Ms Christine Fearon, and Mr Jarlath Burns, with an judging panel consisiting of Mrs Maria Wilson, Mr Gerard McMahon, Mrs Sarah Maguire and Mrs CatherineHughes, the night was a huge success with over £5,000 raised for International Projects.
