St Paul’s hosts its first ‘Big Yellow Friday’

St Paul’s High School hosted its first ever ‘Big Yellow Friday’ on 4th March to raise awareness of Childhood Liver Disease Foundation and to raise much needed funds.

Year 8 and Year 9 students participated by wearing something yellow and contributing at least £1 to the charity.

Hannah Babe, a Year 8 pupil co-ordinated the day. Hannah’s younger sister Catherine suffers from childhood liver disease. Hannah was supported in her charity work by Mrs Kathy Branagan (Form Teacher) and Mrs Oonagh Mc Ardle (Year Head).

A cake sale was held throughout the school day with all proceeds going to the charity. Generous donations were also given to the cause which was greatly appreciated. The total amount of money raised in St. Paul’s on ‘Big Yellow Friday’ amounted to £1,343.

Many thanks to those who donated buns for the cake sale and to all the pupils and staff of St. Paul’s who generously donated money towards this very worthwhile cause.
