OUR SCHOOL AIMS – what we intend to achieve

  1. Live our Catholic ethos

To be a Christ-centred, person-centred community, living the Gospel values and celebrating the richness of Irish cultural heritage while respecting all traditions.

  2. Place each pupil at the centre

To recognise and nurture every pupil’s unique gifts, upholding their dignity, self-esteem and self-worth, and fostering truth, compassion, integrity and kindness.

  3. Provide quality education for all

To offer a broad and balanced curriculum with clear academic, vocational and enrichment pathways, strong support for pupils with additional needs, and the removal of barriers to learning.

  4. Raise expectations and achievement

To deliver excellent learning and teaching, set ambitious standards, and equip pupils to become confident, capable, critical thinkers who make informed and responsible choices.

  5. Embrace inclusion and Shared Education

To promote equality of opportunity, respect for diversity, good relations and community cohesion through meaningful collaboration with partner schools.

  6. Strengthen partnerships and outreach

To work closely with families, parishes, employers, universities and the wider community, and to sustain outreach at home and abroad in service of the common good and care for the marginalised.

  7. Invest in staff and shared leadership

To support high-quality professional learning, share effective practice and resources, and develop leadership at all levels within a culture of trust and collaboration.

  8. Ensure a safe, caring environment

To provide a pupil-centred school that safeguards wellbeing, builds cheerful co-operation and positive behaviour, and enables every member of the community to flourish.

  9. Communicate, celebrate and improve

To listen and act on pupil voice, communicate clearly, celebrate success, use evidence well and commit to continuous reflection and improvement.
